‎SHOCKER: Girl's headless body found in Osun


An headless body of an unidentified  young girl has been found in Magaji area of Iwo in Osun State.

The discovery has caused palpable scare in the ancient town as many residents could not go out during the night.

The residents in the Magaji community are suspecting ritual killing with the discovery of the headless body.



They called on the security operatives to ensure persistent patrol of the area to prevent re-occurrence of similar incident.

A resident, who preferred not to be named, disclosed that the headless body was discovered last weekend inside an uncompleted building in the area.

He explained that the owner of the house, who had come to attend a landlords' meeting in the area, discovered the corpse.

He further explained: "The owner of the building after the landlords' meeting had gone to inspect the construction work only to discover the corpse in one of the rooms in the building. He immediately alerted the police and since then, we have not heard much on the matter from the police."

The resident recalled a similar incident, where recently some cultists laid an ambush for a Muslim scholar and nearly killed him.

According to him: "lt appears ritualists are on prowl. If you go out of your house anytime after 7pm you will always notice suspicious movement of vehicles around here."
