A group of armed robbers has reportedly invaded The Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja escaped with a lot of items.
According report the residences of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Professor Ibrahim Gambari as well as that of an admin officer Abubakar Maikano within the premises of the Villa were the robbers targets.
Peoples Gazette reported that the robbers took away many valuables from both residences during the attack which occurred on Sunday, May 9, 2021.
According to the Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu "the Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari has confirmed that there “was a foolish attempt” to burgle his residence at 3:00am this morning but it turned out to be unsuccessful".
