Nigerian and FC Barcelona Female Striker, Asisat Oshoala yesterday, became the first African to win the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
She made this ground breaking record after her team- FC Barcelona beat Chelsea 4-0 in the Final.
The 26-year-old was introduced from the bench in the 71st minute. Oshoala added a fifth goal in the final minutes, but her effort was ruled out for offside.
Barca had taken the lead within one minute, after Melanie Leupolz diverted the ball into her own net.
Alexia Putellas, Aitana Bonmati and Caroline Graham Hansen also added more goals in the first half.
