COVID-19: FG Shut Bars, Night Clubs, Restrict Gatherings

The Federal Government on Monday reintroduced COVID-19 restrictions in the country.

According to a member of the Presidential Steering Committee (PSC) on COVID-19, Dr Mukhtar Mohammed, the restrictions take effect by midnight of Tuesday.

With the restrictions imposed, Muhammed while briefing reporters on Monday in Abuja said gatherings in public spaces have been restricted to 50 people at any given time

He also further added that access to government institutions would also be denied to anyone not wearing a face mask while government meetings and travels have been limited to the virtual platform.

Muhammed who is the Head of Technical Secretariat  said government has directed that bars and nightclubs should remain closed and the nationwide curfew will be in force until further notice.

He said the restriction will only allow essential international travels adding that existing protocols still stands.
