Meet the UNILAG graduate that graduated with 5.0 CGPA (PHOTO)

Daniel Dada Ayodele, a graduate of Psychology graduated with a 5.0 cumulative Grade Point Average and will be the best graduating student at the University's 2014/2015 Convocation ceremony which holds next week. 

He is the first student in the school to graduate with a record 5.0 CGPA.

Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Rahamon Bello disclosed this at a pre-convocation media briefing today February 24th. “A perfect score. This means he scored As in all courses he took in the programme. I congratulate the graduate with a First Class‎”he said.

MTN withdraws lawsuit against Nigeria, pays $250m

South African telecommunications firm, MTN has withdrawn its lawsuit against Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) over a $3.9 billion fine and paid $250 million towards a possible settlement.

A judge in Lagos last month gave both parties until March 18 to reach a settlement, after MTN had asked the court to arbitrate over the dispute, saying the NCC had no legal grounds to order the fine, Reuters reported.

EFFC detains ex-PDP national chairman, Uche Secondus

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today, Wednesday arrested and detained the deputy national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, for allegedly receiving 23 choice vehicles from an associate of ex-Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.

Strange disease in Lagos confirmed to be measles

The Lagos State Government has described the out break of the fatal febrile rash illness in Otodo Gbame community area of the state as measles.

The disease was confirmed as measles virus through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique carried out at the Virology Reference Laboratory, Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi Araba.
