So after a video of Ooni of Ife singing a Christian Song, saying “Jesus is his father” emerged, some Nigerians of course came for him…claiming it is wrong and that Oduduwa should be his father.

Former PDP Publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh, offers to refund N400m


Embattled former Publicity Secretary of PDP, Olisa Metuh, has offered to refund the N400 million from the arms deal procurement fund that was traced to him. In a statement released by his lawyer, Onyechi Ikpazu, Metuh said he was returning the money to signify his support for President Muhammadu Buhari's anti-corruption war. Metuh is currently undergoing trial for money laundering at a Federal High Court in Abuja.

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria in association with the Nigeria Football Supporters Club and the Lagos state government have scheduled the 23rd of July, 2016 for the Lagos Farewell Testimonial Match for the two departed former Super Eagles chief coaches, Amodu Shaibu and Stephen Keshi at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere on July 23, 2016. A committee to oversee the match has also been set up according to the NFF.

FG's 500,000 teachers’ recruitment portal crashes on day one

The recruitment of 500,000 teachers by the Federal Government might have run into a hitch as the website for the exercise crashed on Sunday following what was suspected to be massive applications by prospective candidates.

The Federal Government had, last week, announced that the recruitment of the teachers would commence on Sunday, directing interested Nigerians to apply through http://portal.npower.gov.ng.

With 2,497 delegates as of 11:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Tuesday, Mrs. Clinton had convincingly clinched enough votes to become the nominee of the Democratic Party. Her opponent, Bernie Sanders, trails behind with 1,663 delegates. Democratic Party rules require the winning candidate to secure a minimum of 2,383 delegates.

FG to begin recruitment of 500,000 unemployed graduates

To fulfill is Democracy Day speech promise, the Federal government will on Sunday begin the recruitment of the 500,000 teachers.

According to a statement on Wednesday by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice-President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande, the recruitment would be done online.

How Former Eagles Coach Stephen Keshi died — Family

The Chairman of the Edo State Football Association (EFA), Frank Ilaboya, confirmed on Wednesday that the remains of former Super Eagle’s coach, Stephen Keshi, had been moved to a mortuary in Benin.

The privately-owned mortuary, Faith Mediplex, is located on the Benin Airport road in the Edo State capital.

Mr. Ilaboya quoted Mr. Keshi’s faimily member, Ricky Aburimen, as saying the Eagle’s former coach only complained of a leg ailment while holidaying at his Airport road home in Benin before he passed away.
